This time we have two rooms, one for Anime showing (2110) and a smaller one for board games (2112).

Each artist will do at least 2 fanart of an anime released during the Dec.2010-Dec.2011 period, which we will put together into something like an artbook with a bit of intro about each artist. We might also include Omake comic strips and/or reviews of anime at the end.
Homework:
Artists, please do some sketches from now until the meet of artwork that you would like to contribute and bring them to the meeting. You don't have to have the final product ready yet but please come with serious idea sketches.

Anime Night: mindfuck!

We're hosting a movie night on the evening of Nov. 25th at our condo's movie room. The theme will be mindfuck. Space is limited so priority will be given to members. Therefore, if you're a non-member, it will depend on available space on the day and you will have to pay $2 just like the general meetings.
The list of anime to be shown will be posted soonish but if you have any recommendations, don't hesitate to post them on the wall! We'll take all suggestions into considerations :)

Cosplay Meet - Sewing Machine Tutorial #1

I will be showing my sewing machine and explaining the parts etc. and how to use it. This is good preparation for people who's interested in making their own cosplay from scratch and want to know how to sew.
I will try to book a sewing studio in Jan for the 2nd sewing tutorial so people can actually practice using a machine and get started on making their cosplay.

Music Meet

Place: New College (40 Willcocks Street)
Also, this meeting will only be two hours because it overlaps with the Snakes and Lattes event so if some of you like to go there before and after, there will be plenty of time.

Halloween Costume/Cosplay Party
Time: Saturday, October 29 · 3:30 PM - 11:00 PM

6 PM to 11 PM at Finch (Dinner & Karaoke)
There's several parts to this event. You're welcome to come to any part of it!
1) Photoshoot at Queen's park (3:30-5:00). Come out with your best halloween costume or cosplay. We'll meet up, chat, and take lots of pictures.
If you don'y plan to dress up, no problem! Just come to hang out ^^ costumes can be optional. Also, we welcome any photographers to come out to help take pictures.
2) Subway Commute (5:00-6:00). Commuting from Queen's Park subway to Finch subway together.
2) Dinner (6:00-7:00). We'll go up north near Finch station for dinner. Most likely we will be eating at the Korean restaurants beside the Karaoke place, but if you want to eat somewhere else that's fine too. Just come meet up with us again for Karaoke.
3) Karaoke (7:00-10:00). We will be going to Karaoke on Yonge, which is right beside Twister Karaoke, and is around the Finch & Yonge intersection.
4) Bubble Tea (10:00-11:00). There's a nice little Victorian styled bubble tea shop and it'll be great for chatting and more photos! :)

Pub Night
Time: Wednesday, October 26 · 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Toby's @ 411 College Street (Bathurst and College)
After trying out couple different pubs, I think we all miss our old home so we're going back to Toby's! Meet inside the pub at 6:00 pm. For those who are underage, yes, you can come so don't be afraid to show up! :)
The main function for these dinners are to eat and talk to other people. It's NOT to drink alcohol. We just really like Toby's because they know us for a couple of years now and are nice to us unlike other places. Also, not everyone will be drinking or like drinking so everyone should come!

Volunteer Meeting for Gaming Event

Music Meet

This will be the first music meet for those of you in UTAMA that are interested in playing some anime/game music together. Don't bring your instrument for this one. I just want to know how many people are interested, get to know each other, and find out what we want to do. I'm hoping to officially start a band or orchestra for UTAMA and maybe eventually perform somewhere. If you have any ideas or suggestions, write them on the wall and we can discuss at the meeting!
