[Mar 1] UTAMA "February" General Meeting
Hello everybody!
It's time for UTAMA's monthly GM for February... Except it's on March 1st. As usual, the event will take place from 18:10 to 21:00 in room 313 in the Claude T. Bissell building.
For this month, the entire assortment of activities will be based on making connections between seemingly unrelated concepts. For our icebreaker, in a bit of a twist from an earlier game you will all be assigned characters and have to find your groups based on some shared trait; your characters are known and you have to find the rest of the group with matching traits.
Afterwards we will move on to our next game: Anime Connect where there will be 4 images to be shown one at a time and you have to guess the common idea between said images. Making a correct guess with less images shown will award you more points. After cutting for our food break, we will then proceed to our final game of the night, Anime Sequences. Similar to Connect there will be 4 images shown but this time, you have to guess the 4th image in a sequence rather than guess the common idea (but you'll still need to figure out the common idea to be able to figure out what the 4th image might be).
As usual, doors will open at 17:45 for anyone who wants to come by early on with the event itself beginning at 18:10 barring any last minute stragglers at the front door.

[Feb 8] "This Art Club Has a Problem" Marathon Screening
Some folks may recall us sending out a survey asking asking people what anime they would like to watch in anime club and well.... By some miracle the winner was "This Art Club Has a Problem".
As such, we will be screening all 12 episodes of "This Art Club Has a Problem". The screening will be in RT157 and begin at 4:00 PM until the show has concluded. Come out and enjoy this 2016 comedy classic.
"Mizuki Usami is a passionate member of her school's art club, but the club has a problem—Usami is the only member who takes her craft seriously! The lazy club president constantly sleeps through activities and Collette hasn't regularly attended club activities in quite some time. Uchimaki Subaru, despite being an exceptional artist who could win an award if he tried, is obsessed with drawing the perfect 2D wife.
Light-hearted and comedic in tone, Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! follows Usami as she struggles to do art club-like activities, often obstructed by her motley crew of good-for-nothings and her distracting crush on Subaru."
